Studio 432

The site of Studio 432 was from its inception a spiritual place; two Cecil County churches cooperated to build this parish-of-ease in 1899. Originally board and batten construction, the one-story structure was refaced in the mid-50's of brick formed from the local red clay, mined from deposits left at the shores of the Susquehanna River.

These days the soaring cathedral ceiling houses one of a kind artwork while the gothic arched windows spill light on beadboard walls painted in astonishing colors: key lime, sky blue and amethyst, all embellished with feathery wings of silvery metal. Recently featured on HGTV's "Look What I Did!" the building itself is a masterpiece, and finding the perfect gift was never so easy as it is at Studio 432.

roofer Wayne Bittner discovered his artistry with copper while recuperating from surgery; Mindy Jarusek beaded buttons into tiny bouquets, and combined disparate elements and rescued refuse to make angels like this one pictured here...

She is now a full-fledged Trashy Woman, with her work featured on the upcoming Trashy Women 5 postcard!

Every day is a day of wonder and joy at Studio 432, of childlike amazement at the glory and beauty of the world.

Who We Are
